THE GOSPEL

God created you because He loves you and desires a relationship with you. However, each of us has sinned, and our sin separates us from a holy God. The Bible states that the wages of sin is death, meaning we deserve judgment because of our sin, and there’s nothing we can do on our own to earn our way back to God.

But here’s the Good News: God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a perfect life that we could never live, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and three days later He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death once and for all.

The Bible says that salvation is a free gift from God. It cannot be earned by being a good person or doing enough good works. We can receive this free gift by God’s grace through faith in Jesus. When we repent of our sin, put our trust in Him, and follow Him as Lord, God forgives our sins, gives us new life, and promises eternal life with Him.

THE SALVATION INVITATION

Ask the person you're speaking with: Would you like to receive God's free gift of salvation by placing your faith in Jesus Christ today?

If they say yes, you could respond:

That's great! The Bible says that, "If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Becoming a Christian isn't about reciting special words—it's about sincerely placing your faith in Jesus. If that’s the desire of your heart, I’d be happy to pray with you as you respond to Him.

Then invite them to pray, encouraging them to express to God in their own words their repentance, faith in Christ, and their desire to follow Him.

If they say no or that they’re unsure:

Thank them for listening, and let them know you appreciate their honesty. Ask if there was anything you shared that they have questions about or would like to discuss further.

Whether they respond positively or not, thank them for their time, and if they’re open to it, offer to pray for them and encourage them to read the gospel of John to learn more about Jesus.

REMEMBER

Our responsibility is to faithfully share the gospel message with love, clarity, and respect. The Holy Spirit is the One who convicts hearts and brings people to faith. We are called to plant and water the seed, trusting God to give the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
